About the Event: Shuk HaTikvah Tour
Our tour will last about two hours and includes tastings and stories about the history of the market, the neighborhood, and the local population.
The Tikva Market was founded during the Arab riots of the 1930's, when the inhabitants of the neighboring village of Salama refrained from selling their agricultural produce to the Jews. The market is among the oldest in Tel Aviv and because it has developed far from the heart of the city, the Tikva Market is quite unique to experience.
