The Urban Art of Tel Aviv's Creative Center
Walking Tour of Kiryat HaMelacha in South Tel Aviv
The Kiryat HaMelacha neighboorhood of south Tel Aviv is considered by many in the know to be the vibrant creative center of the city. Its streets are covered with graffiti and street art of all kinds. Many of Israel's top and emerging artists have their studios there, as well as leading art galleries, including three top art institutions: Rosenfeld Gallery for Contemporary Art, The Shpilman Institute for Photography, and the Benyamini Contemporary Ceramics Center.
Join the Tel Aviv Arts Council on a fascinating tour at the heart of Tel Aviv's contemporary art scene's "industrial zone". We will discover more street artists, get to know various forms of art space, and discuss the connection between art and the street.
This intimate tour is a profound look into the urban art of Tel Aviv for all of our young patrons who are interested in art, society and the environment in which we live. Our tour will be guided by art expert, Yael Nir, who holds an M.A in Culture Studies from Tel Aviv University, and works for the preeminent Fresh Paint Art Fair.
