Asher Bitanksy, is considered one of the most important influences in Israel's music industry, and a huge supporter of Israel's alternative music scene. Considered a maverick within the music business, Asher has been instrumental in developing the international career's of seminal Israeli musicians including Achi-Noam Nini (Noa), Izabo, Yael Naim, Idan Raichel, Habanot Nechama, and Avishai Cohen.

In the eighties, he founded the Sound Design Department at Tel Aviv University and led the department for five years. During that period he co-promoted large outdoor concerts for the likes of Dire Straits, Joe Cocker and many more. In 1992 Asher signed Noa, the first Israeli artist to be signed with Geffen Records, in LA. Between 2005 and 2011 Asher held the role of Director of Business development at Waves Audio, a world leader in Digital Audo signal processing for studio and live music, where he shared the honor of attending the 2011 Grammy with Waves receiving the Technical Grammy Award.

Asher is a popular lecturer and participant in professional panels in a variety of areas related to music, technology and business.

Oleh! Records, founded by Jeremy Hulsh, is a non-profit organization created in 2007 designed to encourage independent and alternative artists in Israel as Israel’s Music Export and Development Office. During their first year they signed and developed a flagship roster of 15 acts, overseeing successful tours and campaigns in the UK, Europe, USA, and Japan. It was clear that with a little bit of sweat equity, talented Israeli acts and unique music could cross over into the international music market. The organization generated substantial revenue for its roster which it reinvested into artist specific development needs. Oleh! continues to provide professional consulting and project management to government and cultural institutions, international festival placement, and high value media exposure for Israeli music abroad. Oleh! operates on many fronts, representing the movement of Israeli music culture both domestically and globally.
